Sweet Citrus Wrap

Sweet Citrus Wrap

Today’s recommendnesday may come as no surprise to some of you because its my Jamberry Nail Wraps! I’m having an online facebook party this week and I’m on my way to making some extra cash for my family by becoming a consultant myself. Why do I love them? Let me count the ways…

Here’s my nail story: I’ve always had flimsy, peeling nails plus my cuticles are sensative. So I’ve hated the few times in my life that I’ve gotten them professionally done. If they are done, I do them myself. That usually never happens though because I’ve always chosen to do some profession that I’m in constant need of washing my hands like phlebotomy, vet tech, dog trainer, and now mom. So my nails would last a day or two if I was lucky. I even tried some other nail wraps like the Sally Hansen ones. They were ok but still made out of nail polish so they wouldn’t last much longer. My friend introduced me to Jamberry Nails and they really work and last two weeks on your nails for half the cost of professional manicure and half the time of doing your own nails with polish.

What else makes these awesome aside from lasting long, no dry time and a crazy assortment of styles and colors?

-they are non-toxic: that means 5 Free-there is no Dibutyl Phthalate, Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, or Camphor!

-gluten and latex free

-not tested on animals

-made in the USA

-can be used on artifical nails

-won’t damage natural nails and come off easy when you want a change

-you get multiple applications on one sheet!! you can do your nails and toes a couple times each WOOT!

Some of the lastest trends

They have also helped nail biters keep from biting their nails. These wraps and laquers are literally for everyone, unless you truly are anti-having your nails done.

Another Anniversary

A year ago today we brought these two beauties home from the NICU. It was a bittersweet day because Oswyn was not yet ready to come home. At that time we didn’t know that it would be another 5 weeks and a surgery before she could come home with us. It was the begining of the toughest part of our NICU journery for me and possibly the toughest part of my life and thankfully it didn’t last longer. I fought back tears every time I visited her, trying to be strong and happy for her and I would leave crying each time. I felt torn that my babies at home needed me there, yet she also needed me with her at the hospital. But I will remember today as a very happy triumphant day for my little miracles!

Babies First Outdoor Concert

This past weekend we went to with some friends to see a band play that another friend of ours is in up at a ski resort. Of course, its summer so it was the perfect temperature up there to be outdoors.  We really enjoyed being with our friends and getting to be outside too. The girls had a great time too, especially Molly. She really wanted to walk around but unfortunately the terrain was too bumpy. I never know how each of them is going to react to a new adventure. It seems they take turns being outgoing or clingy. This time Molly was the outgoing one and Fiona and Oswyn were more clingy.

Wasn’t sure what baby bath products we were going to go with until my friend got us these for our baby shower. Love Burts Bees products anyways and I love their baby line. Of all the diaper rash creams we’ve tried, theirs is my favorite by far. It sticks and covers the skin well even through a couple wet diapers and it smells good. It all smells good over course. I even use their lotion for myself now 🙂

Friday Fun

I was feeling brave this morning. I had to drop of the dogs to get groomed-they were WAY overdue. On the way home I was thinking I would stop by Starbucks and get a muffin and a green tea latte. I planned on going thru the drive thru, but I had three little ladies in the back who were enjoying being out and about so much I thought “what the heck! Let’s get out and sit in the shade and share a loaf of pumpkin bread”.  They just loved hanging out outside and people watching like momma does 🙂 They all approve of the pumpkin loaf and even had a couple sips of water. Such big girls now! I got two “you have your hands full” and one “are they twins?”. We triplet moms, always keep a tally 😉

This weeks pick are Remedy’s hand/diaper creams. We got these when we were in the NICU with the girls. The orange one they used as a diaper cream but is also great on seriously cracked hands. The blue one is a thicker lotion great for eczema and severe dry hands as well. They absorb well, so not too greasy but will last a couple hand washes to keep protecting your hands. You can order them from I haven’t been able to find them anywhere else so far.

First time at the park

I took the girls to the park for the first time yesterday with my friend and her little who is also the same age. They love being outside and did pretty good at first, but soon got clingy, which then turned into cranky. Oswyn tried and loved the swing. Fiona tried it, but got scared because she kept leaning forward. Molly wouldn’t let go of you to let her even sit in the swing. I’m positive that next time will go better. Of all the times we’ve been out and about I think this is the first time they’ve had a melt down. It was bound to happen at some point. Onward and upward!
